Which method to use?

By Room Sizes — checks your plot's length, width, and ceiling height individually. This is the most common method for houses, used in the Manasara text (5th century). Think of it like checking each dimension separately.

Plot Breadth (feet)

The shorter side (road-facing)

Clear Height (feet) — 10 to 11.5 ft typical

Floor to bottom of slab (before false ceiling). Standard: 10′ to 11′6". Your finished room will be 6-9" shorter after false ceiling.
