By plot frontage
Front elevation designs, grouped by how wide your plot is
Frontage width decides more about an elevation than style does. What works across 45 feet looks like pastiche across 26. Pick your width to see the designs that suit it — and the rules that apply at that width.

29–41 ft frontage
The most common plot width in Delhi NCR and the one the library is deepest in. There is enough frontage here for a genuine composition — a recessed entry, a projecting upper mass, a material change that lands rather than looks applied.

12 designs
42 ft and above frontage
At this width the full range opens up — including the classical and neo-classical vocabularies that simply do not work on a narrower plot. There is room for symmetry, for a real entrance sequence, and for a third material if it is doing genuine work.
